Know-How Before You Book
Important Booking Terms
DIY 3D Printing sessions must be booked in advance in blocks of 5, 10, or 15 hours. A minimum booking of 5 hours applies. Please ensure your selected duration matches your expected print time, as unused hours are non-refundable. If your print exceeds the booked duration, the additional machine time must be paid on-site before your item is collected.
File Requirements
- Files must be compatible and up to date
- Files must be fully checked and ready for printing
- Files must be brought on a clean USB drive
- Corrupted or unsafe files cannot be accepted
Print Time and Usage
- Clients are responsible for estimating print time accurately
- Booked hours should match the estimated print duration
- Additional usage beyond the booked time will be charged based on actual machine use
Materials
- Clients must supply their own filament
- A standard filament (single type and colour) is available on-site at an additional cost, subject to availability
- Supported materials include PLA, PETG, and TPU
- Please confirm material compatibility before booking if unsure

- DIY 3D Printing is available on Prusa 3D printers only
- Printer availability is subject to the booking schedule
Collection Policy
- Prints completed within opening hours (9:30 am to 6:30 pm) can be collected the same day
- Prints extending beyond closing time must be collected on the next working day

- Sessions cannot be extended without availability

DIY 3D Printing FAQs
When should I start my print?
You must initiate your print within your booked time slot. We recommend arriving on time to set up and start your print without delays.
Can my print continue after closing hours?
Yes, prints can continue beyond our working hours. If your print finishes after 6:30 pm, it will be ready for collection on the next working day.
What if my print fails or needs to be restarted?
Any machine time used, including failed prints, is counted towards your booking. Please plan your file and settings carefully before starting.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can only cancel 24 hours before your booking time. Any later your payment will be forfeited.
How do I estimate how long my print will take?
Use your slicer software to estimate print time before booking. We recommend adding a buffer to avoid running over your booked hours.
Do I need prior experience to use the printers?
This is a self-service setup. Basic 3D printing knowledge is recommended. Staff are available for limited guidance if needed.
Can I leave my print running unattended?
Yes, once your print is successfully started, it can continue without supervision. Please ensure your file is correctly set up before leaving.
