Turn a brand story into something people can experience.
Fab.Pub develops and 3D prints bespoke retail displays, window pieces and in-store installations in London. We bring the brief, geometry, material and making process together, from an early reference or sketch to a finished piece.
A British icon, reinterpreted through digital craft
For Fortnum & Mason’s one-off 3D-printed hamper, the challenge was to translate the character of a familiar woven object into a new making process. The project story follows the weave studies, toolpaths, printing and hands-on assembly behind the Piccadilly window piece.
It was an honour to contribute to Fortnum’s celebration of making. The value of the project lies in that particular relationship between the object, its identity and how it was made, not in offering copies of the hamper.
Different briefs, different ways of making
Our projects include displays for Astrid & Miyu, the Avowed fantasy skull installation, Annabel’s summer façade and the Food & Drink Awards for Fortnum’s. Explore the completed work to see the range of scales and settings.
Resolve the details before production
We discuss the viewing distance, dimensions, colour, surface, lighting, fixings and installation access alongside the design. Physical samples and prototypes help turn those choices into a fabrication brief.
Material selection and finish are developed for the project. Reuse, disassembly and the end-of-use route belong in the brief too. Lead time, cost and installation arrangements are confirmed against the agreed scope, rather than assumed from another commission.
